Kourtney Kardashian
Kourtney Kardashian's unplanned pregnancy forced the shocked reality TV star to make one of the most difficult decisions in her life: Would she have the baby or terminate the pregnancy?
"I definitely thought about it long and hard, about if I wanted to keep the baby or not, and I wasn't thinking about adoption," Kardashian, 30, who was shooting E!'s Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami at the time, tells PEOPLE exclusively. "… I don't think it's talked through enough. I can't even tell you how many people just say, 'Oh, get an abortion.' Like it's not a big deal."
Scott Disick, the baby's 26-year-old father, was supportive either way. The pair had split in November after two years of dating, but reconciled shortly after finding out she was pregnant. "He wanted me to talk about it more, but I just kept to myself," she says. "He said, 'I really want you to keep it, but I will support you whatever you decide to do.'" Volleyball Player
Agata Mroz, a famed Polish volleyball champion, who died one month ago today at the age of 26.
The daughter of basketball and volleyball coaches, Agata became a superstar in her home country when she led the Polish national volleyball team to European championships in 2003 and 2005. When she wasn’t competing in international competition, she was leading her Polish-league team to championships in 2003, 2004 and 2006 and guiding a Spanish-based team to victory in 2007. Once nicknamed the “great wall of China” for her excellence as a blocker, she had a knack for turning what seemed to be opponents’ advantages into points for her side.
Her fame was magnified by her beauty, which helped to make the stunning six-foot-three-inch slender blonde a regular fixture in newspapers, magazines and on television. She was one of the principal reasons why the Polish women’s volleyball team ended up being dubbed the “Golden Girls,” a testimony not only to their fair hair and multiple gold medals in international competition, but to their marketing draw.
Juno's Story
The movie Juno is a StandUpGirl story... one that is humorous and smart though less moving than Bella. Roger Ebert said; "...It is so very rare to sit with an audience ... in step with every turn and surprise of an uncommonly intelligent screenplay. It is so rare to hear laughter that is surprised, unexpected and delighted." As of this writing Juno is so popular that it has pulled in over $100 million at the box office and the star (Ellen Page) is up for "Best Actress" at the academy awards. Your life is interesting.
The Ghost of Christmas Past
What does it mean to be black, young, and pregnant? How much more out of control can life get. Nick Cannon's rap poem to his mother in 1979 (as the "ghost of future life") and today (as the "ghost of present life") is heartfelt and moving. Particularly appropriate and uplifting at Christmas time, the gift of life is always in season. Enjoy this!
A StandUpGirl's Movie
